A career spanning more than 40 years began with a Management Training programme with Sainsbury that covered every aspect of retail operations before joining the Grocery Buying function on a full time basis.
Food and Drink subsequently provided a thread of continuity during periods of Marketing management with companies that included Reckitt & Colman, Nestlé and Nabisco, before establishing a New Product Development agency, The Food Business, in the mid 1980’s. Working with a portfolio of Blue Chip clients, within 5 years the agency had grown and acquired the complementary business of Cambridge MR.
Paul has managed CMR over the last decade, during which time the business moved into new purpose built premises. In the last 6 years turnover has more than tripled as the company has expanded its service base and client portfolio.
Research has always been a part of Paul’s experience base, but it is complementary skills in business management and strategic thinking that have shaped his approach to Market Research and how it can be most effectively used to add value to the decision making process.
