step 2: Idea generation
How can you develop new ideas?
- How do you know what consumers want?
- What products could you make?
- How can you stand out from the competition?
How we can help
Ideas can be generated from a number of sources, both internal to your company and also as a result of consumer understanding research. Cambridge MR helps to identify ideas for new products based on our needs / gap analysis, as described in Step 1, or by using qualitative research.
Ideas are also likely to be generated by other teams within your organisation, such as Marketing and Research & Development. CMR will conduct an initial qualitative consumer assessment to determine interest.
We also offer ideation to identify the most effective ideas to progress to the next stage. During the workshops, key stakeholders, along with some representative consumers, rate the ideas. We encourage all key stakeholders (such as Marketing, Sales and Finance) to join discussions to ensure that all aspects of new product development are considered.
Workshops are particularly effective when large numbers of ideas have been generated and clarity is required on which to develop further and our experienced CMR moderators help to make sense out of the options.
