Despite the challenges of 2021, we were able to run our Foodfax new product testing service after a short Covid-break. New product development picked up last year, particularly in the plant-based categories, some of which have made the top 50 in this year’s Foodfax Hot Products of 2021.

But the very top slots were more likely to be for familiar, comforting brands and indulgent treats and our winner for the year ticked both the health and environmental boxes and also offered great value for money.
